ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

First, the base. The only tool you need to assemble the whole device is a flat screwdriver.

Put the bolts and the round nuts in the base holes. Don't hold tight yet.

The taped hole in each nut is not centered. This is on purpose. First, put the two bolts in a position where the thicker part of the nuts face each other.

Now, while gripping firmly the nut in its correct position, hold tight. Do that for both nuts.

Put the upper plate in place on the round nuts, and try to slide it. It should slide easily.

If it doesn't slide smoothly and you feel the need to adjust the fit, this is the purpose of the eccentric hole on the nuts. Loosen the nuts and adjust their position a little to improve the fit. There should be a mirroring symmetry between both nuts orientation.

Slide in the slotted intem, and position the nut to keep the item parallel to the longer edge of the plate.

Now, the upper plate is complete. You can possibly use it as is (without the base plate) to have enough clearance for folding very large box-like parts.

Put the spring washers on the bolts of the base. The curved upper parts of the washer should face each other. On the photograph, the correct position is when the upper parts of the washer are on the left and right side of the bolt, and the lower parts on the up and down side.

Now you can put the upper plate and the small brass washers and hand nuts to complete the assembly.

The folder should slide freely in both 45° and 90° position when the hand nuts are loosen.

If both plates are not joining perfectly when the hand nuts are tight, check the spring washers, maybe they are not in the correct position or are not well set into their hole on the base plate. Each device has been completely assembled and carefully checked before shipping, so you should have a perfect join between the two plates.

To use the upper slotted part to fold small box-like PE items, unscrew a little the hand nut, and press gently the 90° side (where the bolt engage in the rounded slot) to raise it. Put your PE piece in place under it, press with your finger and hold tight. The slotted part don't lay flat on purpose on the plate to keep a very strong point grip at the 45° end.
